Organizing scraps so it works for you is the main thing. I mostly cut my scraps into 2.5" and 5" squares and strips and store them in clear plastic bins by colour. I like that they are ready to use that way. I also save my leftover binding in a container for scrappy binding or small projects.MoeWesthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13316286980472111253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6067459239709576987.post-24459040989245233452014-11-18T21:13:48.108-08:002014-11-18T21:13:48.108-08:00some great scrap management ideas!some great scrap management ideas! What Comes Next?https://www.blogger.com/profile/17290766425199467892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6067459239709576987.post-54807849788760720562014-11-17T19:51:32.423-08:002014-11-17T19:51:32.423-08:00What a great way to organize your scraps. I do have strips in some semblance of order and boxes of yardage but the scraps not so much LOL. They do have a way of multiplying.
I hope you get to meet lots of new to you bloggers and quilters from all across this great country of ours. I do have a blog but have not posted much this last year. I just don't seem to find the time to blog, make quilts and teach all at once. Perhaps I will get a new post up this week. I have made a similar quilt to the one on this post. Mine was a pattern from the Missouri Star Quilt Co.
Regards from Alberta,
Anna. quiltmom annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01976120921532056369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6067459239709576987.post-1183132631864247872014-11-17T19:02:54.265-08:002014-11-17T19:02:54.265-08:00Stopping by on the Blogathon. The smaller bits are kept by colour in the clear shoe boxes and can be used for paper piecing small blocks or for crazy quilting. I keep a fabric "bag" and throw anything not big enough to use for another project into it, with bits of batting too and when it's full, stitch it closed to create a pillow. I drop off the finished pillows to Sew Sisters, who donate them to a local animal shelter for the animal cages.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6067459239709576987.post-91298197188148917432014-11-17T07:23:44.010-08:002014-11-17T07:23:44.010-08:00You never cease to amaze me with what you do with ...You never cease to amaze me with what you do with scraps!
