It's all about the dog

Webster had an appointment at the vet today.  It was time for the annual shots.  The rabies vaccine.  The how the heck are you doing, dog?  That kind of a visit.  Since it is spring, it was also time to get his new flea stuff.  Can't have fleas.  He had an ear cleaning too.  Some ear drops.  Some ear cleaner.  Nice little chat with the very nice vet.  Husband made her laugh.  Such a comedian, he is.  Where am I going with this?  Well, after the half hour visit and the small bag of dog potions, I think we may have to take out a mortgage on the farm to pay the vet bill.  OMG!  Tell your children to become vets as it is obviously the business to be in.  Good grief in the morning.

Don't get me wrong, I am all for making sure our pets get quality medical care.  Son even takes his geckos to the vet and who does that?  I didn't even know that there were gecko vets?!

who can resist this face?
And on the quilting front, I am working on several projects.  I feel that I am quite disciplined.  I do tend to work on a quilt until it is done and then start another.  I am not counting my scrappy string quilt because that is just going to evolve over time with the scraps.  But I have been very waffly about my French Roses (Heather French pattern) quilt that is hand quilted.  I go in spurts with the hand quilting.  I work away at it until I have worn some holes in the ends of my pushing fingers and then I give it up for awhile.  Usually a long while.  I hate wearing a thimble.  Quite possibly because I have yet to find a thimble that I find comfortable.  My goal then, is to get back to work on the hand quilting.  I will do it.  Tonight I will tackle it again as Husband watches the hockey game.

  1. hope your dog is all good, back from the vet and keeping your feet warm as you design a new quilt ;-)
