Some labels and the next projects on the go...
I am at a strange place with my quilting projects. The only thing on the go is the Farmer's Wife Quilt Along. I have been rattling around, staring at fabric, flipping through magazines, and snooping through blogs for inspiration. I am a bit obsessed with the wonky points on the Card Tricks quilt so being a complete sucker for punishment, I am going to start another one. The aim is for no wonky points. We will see how that goes! I am going to use a stack of lovely romantic florals that I bought at the "by the pound sale" this past spring. Even Husband had to admit that this is my kind of fabric. I have been busy today pressing the squares and cutting down the fabric to charm square size. Lots of cutting.
The next thing on the go will be a vintage sheet quilt for Daughter to drag around camping with her. I have a stack of sheets pulled with that in mind but have yet to have a thought on what this will look like. More stewing required.
The other day I made more labels. I took something quite familiar. Used this tutorial and made these.
Recycling at its finest. Moda uses lovely twill tape to wrap their jelly rolls. I have saved it without a particular use in mind until this... and I am quite happy to reuse it as a label.

I love those fabrics. I use that tape in rug hooking and need to make those lables.

I love those labels - I will definitely have to 'borrow' your idea!! Funnily enough I just got some labels of my own printed. It's so great to be able to sew them on and know that whoever picks up the item will know who made it!
