Sneak Peak, a work in progress and a poppy!

I started a new Warp and Weft Sewing Society project... a baby quilt with a stack of fat quarters.  A whole lot of pinkness.  I cut 3" squares and got busy making a whole pile of wonky stars with Kona white as the stars.  The small 8" star block are just so darn cute.  I think it will be just lovely when finished.

And in the spirit of pink, here is a lovely pink poppy in the garden the other day.  Linking up with Lee at Freshly Pieced for Work in Progress Wednesday!

  5. Ahhh, that beautiful stripey print from the Petite Street collection...I love that print!
Those prints look gorgeous together! Can't believe I never spotted the custom bundle potential! ;-)
And your poppy is so lovely. My mom used to buy a huge bunch of poppies every Friday from street vendors in Cape Town when I was a kid and they always remind me of her!

  6. I like the star blocks.. I am thinking of doing the same thing, only print stars with HST's and white background. It is on my to do list!
I am from Texas too! Odessa and Houston! My and my son LOVE Bracketville where John Wayne recreated the Alamo for his movie and I love driving that middle area on the way to San Anton to see the real Alamo. I love the history sites of the states. I love texas to..wish I could go back! I don't make any plans on what I will do with any giveaway I participate in....to sad to change plans if I don't win! Your plate is really great!
