This one was just fun. A total explosion of colour with really great contrast between the warm and the cool tons. The piecing was a bit of a nightmare. Lots of bias edges and fiddling around but it is done. I had no idea how to quilt it or what colour to use for thread but I found that I had a spool of variegated Aurifil 50 wt in shades of pink, bright raspberry, turquoise and white. And you know, it totally worked.
It is brightening up the barn in the winter sun. It is now living on the downstairs couch for snuggling.
Awesome color combinations, it looks great.
ReplyDeleteGreat finish and great use of color. I'm guessing those pieces must be pretty small given the size of the quilt. Can't quite imagine how it was pieced.
ReplyDeleteOoooooh!! Love it!! Love the colours!! :D
