Thanksgiving dinner was finished. Daughter was heading back home. The rest of the family were all back at their homes and I was set for a great big sewing day! The last day of the long weekend. I just had to hem Daughter's nurse pants before she left. One pair of pants left to go and the power went out. The power went out after a big crash and a puff of smoke at the end of the property. Yep. I hemmed the last pair of pants by hand and we finally got the power back about 4 or 5 hours later. We have a beaver problem down the road. The beavers had dammed up the creek and a large pond grew and grew, flooding an area that wasn't meant to be flooded. The beaver dam was broken a few weeks ago and the dammed up water rushed away but this tree was either a beaver snack or weakened by beaver engineering skills and flooding. The tree blocked both lanes of the road and the crew is still working on the last bit of repairs. So my big giant sewing day didn't happen. Darn beavers!!!!!
Power outages aside - beavers...how cool! So, all I want to know is if you have a guest bedroom, I am not planning a trip anytime soon but boy oh boy! You have wandering bears, a husband who bakes to most delicious looking and sounding treats and now beavers!!!!! Surely i need to add you to my world tour of bloggers! I am promising it to myself when I have had my knees done in a few years. I bet you have deer, chickadees, woodpeckers and cardinals too huh!
