Oh my goodness! I love this block! All of a sudden there are 25 of them! I am using the block tutorial here after seeing a quilt entered in the Blogger's Quilt Festival! I was inspired. I really love her colour choice too but for some reason, I decided to make mine in blue and green. I am using scraps again with a some greens from the stash too.
I didn't get a ton of sewing done this weekend as it was spa and card ladies yesterday and we celebrated my Grampa's birthday today at my wonderful Aunty's house. It was a gathering of the clan in honour of Grampa's 94 birthday!!!! He says he will accept birthday wishes but says "94" is just a number! Happy birthday, Grampa!!!!!

ReplyDeleteLove the colours in your blocks! kind of reminiscent of tropical water to me and a big Happy Birthday to the birthday boy! Looking pretty darn good if you ask me!
ReplyDeleteWhat a dear, happy looking Grandpa! Make the moments with him last. Have you been asking him questions about his younger days? I'm sure he's lived a fascinating life.
ReplyDeleteI too love that quilt. I'm going to jump over to the other site and take a look. Thanks for sharing.
Love your fabric choices...this sings to me :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to a very young looking Grandpa!
I love this quilt! Congratulations to Grandpa...wishing him many more.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty quilt and I love the colors. I had 3 great grandmothers and one great grandfather live well into their nineties and one to 100. It is a great treasure to have a grandfather!
ReplyDeleteThat quilt needs to have "spring" in it's name. Happy Birthday to your Grampa!
