Design Wall on a Sunday!
When I made my list for my "Just Three" goals for May, I did say that I wanted to make something just for fun. Well, this is just for fun. It is going to be a pillow. I was inspired by a block over at Kati's blog. I tweaked it a bit from what I can see in her picture.
I used 4" squares and made a whack of HSTs. I like it! I have some ideas for quilting it and again, it will be fun! I did a bunch of sewing this weekend. I feel like I accomplished a ton!
On the garden front today was dahlia planting day. Husband and I planted 4 rows of them in the vegetable garden. I think I had the best results ever with the tubers coming out of the cold room after being stored for the winter. We plant them in the garden because it makes slug patrol so much easier and they don't require staking when they are all planted in a bunch. They just look so lovely when they are all in bloom. Speaking of blooms, the blueberry flowers are almost open!
Have a super rest of your day. Linking up with Judy's design wall Monday!
