Flea Market Finds on a really hot day!

Husband and I were out and about early today.  We knew it was going to be a hot one and we also knew we were going to be picking blueberries today... big time.  We stopped at the farmer's market and then I got a thrift store fix before we were home again.  I found a pair of matching twin flat vintage sheets in almost new condition for a grand sum of $1.50.  Sweet!!!!  And a lovely milk glass bowl.  It is about 8"-9" in diameter and I have to say that the bottom of the bowl is really quite lovely.  I also picked up a really tiny brass sewing box.  It is just itty bitty.  It makes a fabulous and satisfying click when it is closed.  Sadly it was empty of all its little bits but I am quite taken with it all the same.

And we picked blueberries.  and more blueberries.  and more blueberries and guess what we will be doing tomorrow?

  3. Wow! Woot Woot! Great finds! I see so much milk glass at our thrift store here and always think of you. I have no idea what is good and what isnt. Is there a mark or something on the bottom?
Also...wanted to tell you that I am going to need one of those "klutz" gloves..you guessed it, if the rotary blade hadnt been dull, I would be missing about a 1/2" of my index finger...boy did it bleed! Are you using that glove you bought? One guess which quilt I was working on!! Ha!

    Ok, I'll shut up now...

  5. Wow! I love your finds. I'm usually not a vintage sheet fan (too 70s for my taste), but these are awesome!
