Really Random

We are our own Van Gogh. Photo taken this morning.

At this time of year a certain type of Grosbeak arrives at our bird feeders.  We call them stupid heads.  They have really huge beaks and the males, especially like to crash into our windows.  They sit and look stunned for a bit and then fly away.  With a headache.  Then they do it again.  And again.  Stupid heads.

When is it too late to wear white pants?  Is it really too late if it is September and it is still really hot?  Does anyone really care if I wear white pants?

September is my favourite month.  I think it is all wrapped up in the start of school and it is my birthday month.   Husband's too.  I love September.  It fills me with anticiaption and excitement.

I love the smell of crayons.  Just saying.

  2. Lovely garden! I have a sense of anticipation this time of year, too but I think it's happiness at leaving the heat behind!

  3. Yikes I can't believe September is just around the corner. The children attending school for the very first time must be so excited. It is a rather thrilling time for us when all seems to settle down and become routine again. A much needed break is on the way for Mom's who have enjoyed their children all summer long, and to see them grow by one more season is beautiful. Oh how they have grown over the summer, leaps and bounds as they say. Crayons are a beautiful thing, they release the creativity in us all. I agree they have a special smell all their own. The birds will be especially happy to feed on your sunflower seeds you have planted and watched grow over the season. All awesome in so many ways.
