Design Wall (Correction: Design Floor!) Monday!
This is what I have been busy with this last little while. I have been turning a pile of batik samples from the "By the pound" sale into a bento box quilt. This will be double bed size and I am just to the point of stitching the top together. It is scrappy as I used only samples which are a little bigger than a fat eighth and sometimes almost fat quarter size. Several firsts for this quilt. Firstly, I have never used batiks before but it was a special request so what is a girl to do!? Secondly, this is my first bento box quilt and I have to say it is a lot of fun and the blocks go together really quickly. Sorry about the quality of the pictures but the downstairs living room does not have the best photo lighting! I will link up with Judy's Design Wall Monday! Check it out!

What a lovely job you've done with all that batik! I love playing with batiks -- I imagine it won't be your last time! :)
ReplyDeleteOh there is so much subtle variation going on in that quilt. How mesmerizing. Great design.
