Flea Market Finds on a sunny and HOT Saturday!

I found these two lengths of pillow case edging when Mum and I were out and about.  For a grand total of 25 cents each, this was quite a bargain for lovely hand crocheted lace.

And some lovely vintage trim.

Some rick rack. One is current the other very vintage!  The packaging is still in yards.  Canada converted to metric measurements in the early 1970s so it is reasonable to expect this trim dates to well before that.

These are really lovely pillow cases.  Not necessarily vintage but the fabric is just so pretty and they have scalloped edges.  Hmm!  I will have to think about a project for these for sure!

Very cute vintage toffee tin.  My Great Gramma used to buy me Riley's Toffees for Christmas and Birthdays.  This is probably where my love of both tins and toffees began!

Vintage flour sifter!  I am such a sucker for this painted tin!!!!

This is apparently a Cook's Measure.  It is incredibly detailed and has markings for measuring just about anything you can think up!

So while I have been dragging stuff home and filling up the house, it should be noted that I have a large bag to go to the thrift store next time around.  I was cleaning out my closet and getting ready for back to school with a bit of a wardrobe purge!

Husband and I had a super fun morning driving around the country side on a Farm Tour of sorts, called the "Greendale Country Sampler".  We visited all sorts of different small farms and a quilt shop!  More on that tomorrow with some pictures!

A view from the pond this morning...

Just a few flowers visible in this part of the yard... just a few.

I will be linking up with Sophie's Flea Market Finds later today and Apron Girl's Thrift Share Monday.
(which is actually from last Tuesday but that's okay!)
Check out all the great treasures!

  1. Oh you just can't beat haberdashery from the op shop can you? My Mum had one of those cooks measures and I now have a metric one - they are so good! I even managed to find one for my daughters to share! I think I would quite like to be a duck on your pond - the whole scene looks very inviting!
