Fresh Flowers Quilt Finish !

Another finish!  That takes another "to do" off my work in progress get it finished list.  This quilt is a gift for a friend. I think it will be delivered in the next day or so.  I used 2 scrap bags of Deb Strain's Fresh Flowers line  for Moda.  I bought the scrap bags at one of the local quilt shops.  Along with some green dots from my stash and some thrift store yardage for the back, this quilt came together bing bang boom.  The pattern is from Me and My Sister Designs and I think it is called Baker's Square.  Nice and simple so the fabric is the star. I stippled the quilt all over in white. The fabric is so bright and cheerful and fully reflects the personality of the friend that I have made this for.  I am tickled to give it to her.

The quilt is being modeled on the grape arbor at the barn and an old apple tree in the yard.  If you look closely, you can see a poppy peaking out from behind the quilt at the barn.  These poppies are so pretty and are an unusual colour...  see?

And I am linking this finish up with {Sew} Modern Monday and tomorrow with Fabric Story Tuesday. Tomorrow I will pop in a picture of the label and tell you a bit more...
